Two River Camps right on the banks of the Breede offer accommodation to maximum 40 guests. Guests will have the use of a full River Camp if they do a booking. Each River Camp has seperate sleeping huts, a lapa / kitchen area with indoor braai, a volley ball court and a campfire spot outside. Each River Camp provided with a couple of double kayaks. A shared trampoline between the River Camps offers fun for the younger ones or the more energetic!



RIVER CAMP 1: sleeps maximum 24 guests Six larger huts each with a double - and 2 single fixed beds, a toilet and a small basin. Lapa / kitchen area with table which seats 18 adults. Bath room with bath and 2 showers. No tents allowed to camp with.
RIVER CAMP 2: sleeps maximum 16 guests Eight small huts with 2 fixed single beds in each (no toilet or basin). Bathroom with 2 showers and 3 toilets. No toilets inside the sleeping huts at this River Camp! Camping allowed with staying at the River Camp for max 10 guests extra!

Bathroom facilities include warm showers and flush toilets. The River Camps offer an experience away from home. Lots of bamboo and reed, combined with thatched roofs, apricot kernels and stone gives a special feel to it.

Although our guests enjoy the River Camp experience very much, it might not be the perfect accommodation for your guests attending your wedding on the farm ! If some of the guests are willing to share and is outdoor adventurous people, then it will be fine for them to stay there. We do have the ironing board available and a long mirror in the bath room for those who wants to dress up for the occassion. You will have to put on your stilleto's once you are in the car though and not down at the River Camp walking on apricot kernels !

There are lots of smaller cottages in close vicinity of Breede Escape where your guests might want to stay. You are welcome to contact me for a list with contact details which you can offer to your guests attending your wedding, if they want to arrange alternative accommodation and not want the River Camp experience. You can also arrange accommodation through info@route62.co.za if you want.

Self catering: prepare your own meals, do your own washing up. Beds are made with a fitted sheet and pillow with a pillow case only.
Bedding: Top bedding ( duvets and blankets can be booked @ R30 / bed extra for your stay. If you have booked your wedding with us as well as accommodation at the River Camp we will fully make the beds for your guests at no extra cost. Guests must bring their own TOWELS please.
Washing - up: a washing up service is available @ R200 per River Camp per day. PLEASE BOOK IN ADVANCE.

 

Please bring appropriate bedding for DOUBLE or SINGLE beds depending on which River Camp you booked.
Beds are fixed and can not be moved. Top bedding can be booked at an extra cost.
Overnight wedding guests get top bedding included in the normal rate. PLEASE BRING OWN TOWELS !!!
